    Regrettably the Spice Evening was extremely disappointing. The service and friendliness of Richard (Sommelier/Bar) was the only highlight - and perhaps wrong not to add the samoosas and paratha were good (nothing spectacular but good) - the rest inedible all round. The food was removed from our bill - however the R300 deposit was not - ie we still ended up paying part of it anyway! We ordered a bottle of the Springfield and a sparkling water large - so paid for those and the R300. I could write further about the meal/s - but it cannot be even passed as a curry, or a stew in fact. Tasteless watery something in each curry - fish "very fishy" and overcooked and tiny little pieces just floating around, the lamb - dont even know if it was lamb! Regrettably we were so looking forward to the evening and were going to then try the Steak Night, however, we will not be back.

    A lovely evening from start to finish. So pleased PalmHouse is finding its rhythm. Friendly staff who recognise repeat guests, good food and wine. Maybe the curry could’ve been a little spicier but all-round a very enjoyable evening in a cosy spot! We will be back.

    Had a great evening. Excellent steaks. Cosy bar and restaurant. Manager and staff went out of their way to accommodate our requests.

    Felt cold in the room, didn’t have much of an atmosphere. We didn’t get an option to taste or MCC of choice as it was poured into the glasses at the bar and brought to us. The MCC was warm. The food was okay however my muscles were over cooked and everything had truffle oil on it. Was nice for a change but I don’t think we will be going back.
