    I personally enjoyed my food, but a few of my friends received cold food after waiting quite a while for it. The Heineken draught beers were off, and our waitress was rarely around to take drink orders or respond to questions or complaints. We kept having to get the attention of another staff member, who was extremely kind and helpful, but wasn’t assigned to our table. Two managers did visit, but they weren’t especially helpful or proactive either. For example, when we (more than once) mentioned the delay with drinks, they didn’t immediately take the orders themselves – they just said they’d find the waiter, which meant more waiting! One of my friends (who received an expired beer) is a long-time restaurateur himself, and found that to be unacceptable. Later, one of the managers generously offered me a complimentary birthday dessert as a "we're sorry" gesture, but that felt a little awkward since I wasn’t one of the guests with cold food or bad beer! And when he took that dessert order, he did not ask the rest of the table if they wanted dessert too (complimentary or not). So no one got to order and I ended up eating dessert alone while everyone else watched – not a vibe. The restaurant looks amazing, but sadly, the service, food, and drinks didn’t live up to the surroundings.

    Price in Dineplan was misleading. Apparently it was only a deposit and require a substantially larger amount. Waiter tried to add additional items, which were not ordered, to the bill.

    We enjoyed our food. We had the amazeballs and chiken wings starter and the calamari salad and wagyu burger. We will be back to try other items on the menu.

    Great ambience and lovely place. The food is not bad but I ordered medium rare and got well done steak. I could not get it back to the kitchen because the server Mhlanga would disappear for hours and that made the experience suck. The cocktails also seemed watered down...to pay for a R120 cocktail and not get a little tipsy is crazy.

    Hi. My husband and I had made a reservation at Paradiso for the 14th February 2026. On our arrival , they could not find our reservation, however the hostess remembered my husbands telephone conversation and we were then take to our seats. This was a standard 5 course menu for the night. The chicken skewers was good however the falafel was not. The hummus was very grainy and the falafel was dry. The main course, which was steak and fish. The steak was done to perfection, however the prawns was terribly overcooked and was rubbery when you ate them. The fish was good as well. I ordered a side portion of rice , the rice was not seasoned and it had burnt bits in it. Further to the for the price we paid (R1850.00), we were served with not even a quality rice that normal fine dining restaurants would offer. The final course was desserts. Firstly it states “strawberries “ (plural) with chocolate, we received 1. The tarts were really good, however they had two portions of brownies. Those were definitely not chocolate brownies. They were terribly dry and extremely bitter. Our waiter (Happy) was great, and at every stage he was apologetic and he was shown the mishaps with the food. He understood and he said that he would tell the kitchen an manager our concerns. The manager on the night did not even come to us and address our issues, that to me was extremely bad service. Happy did mention that he spoke to the manager and he was about to give feedback, however we were in a hurry and did not want to listen to the feedback if it was not from the manager of the night themselves . All in all , it was an extremely disappointing night. The food was very overpriced and the quality was not of a fine dining quality. Happy, however was a really good waiter .
