    I would not recommend this restaurant. Although we made an online booking, we were greeted by an unfriendly host upon arrival. This left us feeling unwelcome, so we chose to dine elsewhere in a more pleasant and welcoming environment.

    Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations and appreciate the opportunity to clarify what occurred. At the time of your reservation, two separate tables were booked online, and unfortunately there was no note indicating that the tables needed to be seated together. As the restaurant was fully booked, we were unable to rearrange seating once guests had already arrived for dinner. Had we been aware of this request in advance, we would certainly have done our best to accommodate it before service began. That said, we sincerely apologise if our communication came across as unwelcoming or dismissive. This is not the level of hospitality we strive to offer, and your feedback has been shared with management to ensure that future interactions are handled more professionally and with greater care. We regret that this situation impacted your evening and thank you for bringing it to our attention.

    The Pear Tree didn’t just impress me. It knocked me flat. From the moment I walked in, it felt like the staff had one mission: make this meal unforgettable. They did exactly that. Every plate hit the table looking like it belonged in a magazine and tasting even better. Flavors were sharp, clean, and confident. Nothing felt forced. Nothing missed. You could tell the kitchen cared about every detail, right down to the last garnish. The service was the kind you wish every restaurant had. Warm. Quick. Ready when you needed them, invisible when you didn’t. It made the whole experience glide. Dessert sealed the deal. I thought I was full. I was wrong. One bite and I knew I’d be thinking about it for days. If you want a meal that sweeps you off your feet, go to The Pear Tree. It is more than dinner. It is a reminder of how good food can be when a team is fully locked in and giving it everything. Five stars without hesitation. Michael Kiessling
