In the early 1940s, wine farmers in the Perdeberg region grew dissatisfied with the low prices they were getting for their premium quality grapes. Then an astute farmer named Jan Rossouw suggested they begin producing their own wine and Perdeberg Cellar was born! We pressed our first grapes manually in 1942 and while we have come a long way in terms of technology, we are still renowned for our hands-on approach!

We did wait a really, really long time for our tastings and food, but it was explained that they only had one chef that day. They did give us some extra wine and pizza for free. Which we appreciated. Even though we waited a long time, the food and pairings were amazing.

Booked for inside, although we were moved to the outside space by staff on arrival ('cause it was a beautiful day). 6 people above the age of 70 and my dad 88, sitting on benches with no back support. The noise level increased as families arrived and being a kids space, it was quite disruptive for the oldies with earpieces, and those without. Once should remember that sound with oldies is either too loud or too soft. Food - 6 received their food after quite a long period of time (we were the 2nd table seated, and largest at 10am) and 2 waited another 10 minutes. The food was delicious though! Had to find our own salt & pepper, had to find the waitress/waiter for service. Unfortunately not a pleasant experience at this stage. Might be back next year.

We only went for wine tasting. Fantastic service by Anrich and Terence. The knowledge of Terence was fantastic. When we left there it felt as if we made a new friend. The wine is very very good quality and affordable. If you enjoy wine tasting this is a must.

If you are looking for a place outside of the busyness of the city, a great spot to hang out with friends over a glass of wine and great food.....look no further, this is the place to be. The food is absolutely delicious and I enjoyed the pizza and wine pairing. This place is definitely great value for money. Looking forward to visit again.
