In the early 1940s, wine farmers in the Perdeberg region grew dissatisfied with the low prices they were getting for their premium quality grapes. Then an astute farmer named Jan Rossouw suggested they begin producing their own wine and Perdeberg Cellar was born! We pressed our first grapes manually in 1942 and while we have come a long way in terms of technology, we are still renowned for our hands-on approach!

This was the 1st of 3 wine farm stops of our day. The service was not good at all. The guy presenting the wine tasting did not even explain the wines to us. Everything was just dumped. He told us some story that we could hardly hear, about the grapes burning on the way to Paarl, but that was about it. No ambiance at all. We bought 6 bottles of wine, paid and left. On the way to our next wine farm, I got a call saying we didnt pay for the cheese board. I then asked the lady to send me a payment link as I was not going to drive back.

We have arrived on time and recieved by a very professional waiter. The problem started on our beef Bourguignon meal order meal which we had to wait long, not only that tasted sour.We commucated with waiter which was very helpful and professional to handle the matter. We requested the meal to be replaced with a burger and chips ,the burger was raw.It was a desaster after another. My experience with the restuarant was unpleasent one ,a Mother day outing turned to be awful. It was our first and last visit to the restuarant. There is something wrong at the kitchen staff that needs an attention.

It was our 1st time visiting Perdeberg and it definitely won't be our last. A cosy space where the kids can't wander too far. Great service from the friendly staff 👏
