The Piatto Restaurant and Grill story began in 2001 when the founder, Michael Yiallouris opened the first Piatto in Eastgate Shopping Centre. Today Piatto has grown to 15 stores across South Africa and we are planning to open many more.

    I made a reservation for 19:00 and received confirmation of my booking. During the day, I receive an SMS notifying me that my booking was moved to 18:00 without my asking. I naturally think this is a mistake and move it back to 19:00, again, I receive confirmation of my booking. When arriving at the restaurant, I am told that they are closing early due to ceiling repairs that need to take place. My issue is with the fact that they had my contact details but couldn't communicate any of this prior to me arriving. I assume that the time change was because of the maintenance scheduled, but why not let the customer know beforehand? Beyond disappointed, I went to Fahrenheit and got decent service despite them being packed to capacity.

    Thank you for the awesome meal . We were a party of 4 and all of us said that it was an extreamly good experiance from the food to the ambience to the vibe. Well done . Thank you for letting us enjoy our year end lunch with you guys . Will DEFINATELY be seeing us soon.

    Noone checked for our booking. We had to seat ourselves. Waited for any one to acknowledge we were there to bring menu...shockingly bad service...and restaurant was quiet....food arrive intermittently and order was not correct...all round terrible...will not be back

    Very helpful staff. But disappointed to see how many waitrons walked past an item of rubbish on the floor (looked like an inner sole from a shoe) and nobody picked it up. One even just kicked it out of the way. This destroyed ambience for me.
