    Pasta sauce lacks flavor and was very watery. Hard to eat as it did not stick to the pasta. My friend also agrees with this. My husband on the other hand enjoyed his pizza

    Was expecting more for the price. Not the quantity (portions way to big) but the quality. We had calamari and lamb chops perhaps the pizzas and pastas are better. Paid almost the same price for 2 than we did for 6 at Spur and the food was actually tastier.

    Hi Madi Thank you for taking to time to write a review. I am sorry that you feel you didn’t receive value for your money or a quality meal. Just for context, I looked online, Spur charges R309.90 for their lamb chops (we charge R290) and R229.90 for their calamari (we charge R220). Thus I do not understand your comment that you can eat at Spur for six people for the same price of two at Polpetta? Our grills come with a choice of any two sides of your choice – which may seem like our portions are too big, but we have respect for our customers money and believe in generosity. Our customers regularly remark that our portions are big – but that’s part of our DNA – we want our customers to take home their leftovers and enjoy some Polpetta the next day too. As to the taste of the food, I have not eaten at Spur for a long time now, so I am not able to compare. But once again, I apologise that you did not enjoy your experience at Polpetta.

    The food was amazing, and the must-have is the wood-fired pizza the base rivaling that of any traditional pizzeria in Rome/Milan (Italy). The service is exceptional, and staff expertly trained and detail orientated. The owner Ed is onsite and his personal interaction with all the guests makes the dining experience memorable.
