    The food and service by Mercy was good. We had the "Gastronomique" 5 course tasting menu and the ostrich fillet and pork belly was deliciously tender. However I have had better food tasting experiences at other fine dining restaurants in Pretoria. The restaurant inside had a distinct smell of cigar and cigarette smoke which I did not find pleasant as a non smoker. Despite Priva's term and condition regarding being respectful of other dining guests and avoid loud conversations, we experienced some patrons close to us quite loud. Also the live jazz music was not my vibe and I found the music also too loud to have a proper conversation. Overall I'm not inspired to return to try other dishes on the menu.
