    Service was good and the restaurant has a lovely, cosy atmosphere. Unfortunately, the burgers did not get the same memo. 😅 At almost R200 a burger, we were expecting something a little special — especially when the menu promises homemade brioche buns. Sadly, the bun definitely didn’t seem homemade or particularly brioche-ish, it was a PnP sesame seed. And then there was the sauce… or rather, there wasn’t. The burger was so dry we were starting to wonder whether sauce was an optional extra we forgot to order. Great service, cosy setting, but the burgers were a serious disappointment for the price. We expected a juicy, saucy burger on a proper homemade brioche bun — not a burger desperately in need of a glass of water. 😬🍔

    We had the pleasure of having lunch at Queen’s Cottage Wood Fired Kitchen, and what an experience it was! They had a special starter created for Women’s Day that was absolutely out of this world. Brought to the table under a glass cloche, the moment it was lifted, the smokiness came barreling out. And then we got to see the plate of perfection. Three beautifully homemade ravioli, filled with cream cheese and citrus, bejewelled with cashews and resting on a bed of the most decadent white wine cream sauce. This plate of food had me doing happy dances! 💃✨ Well done, Chef Tristan! The rest of our meal were absolutely delicious as well, but this beautiful dish, created specifically for Women’s Day, was truly exquisite. Thank you again, Chef Tristan, for creating such a memorable dish. It was an absolute delight!

    The coffee machine is still broken, and we waited over an hour for our food, I suspect the kitchen is short staffed. The food however is delicious.

    Queens Cottage wood fire grill has got to be the most superb steak house in all of Langebaan! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with exceptional hospitality & service. It is such a delight to dine there on a chilly night with a warm fire going & a cozy & elegant atmosphere… I especially enjoyed watching the chef prepare our meal with an open kitchen & an eagerness to please his patrons…. The tomatoe soup starter with a grilled cheese starter, was such a delight & the savory porterhouse steak dinner with double mashed potatoes in a crispy skin, will be a dinner I will remember for a long time & definitely will return again & again! This is a wonderful hidden gem to celebrate a special evening with a loved one or to celebrate with friends on a crisp chilly night!
