If you're as serious about ramen as we are, you've found the best place in Cape Town to slurp silky freshly-made noodles, sip umami-rich broth simmered and nurtured for days, and socialise with brimful glasses of sake. Having imported the only Yamato noodle machine in Africa, you won’t find anywhere else like it!

Taking our cue from the ramen houses in Japan, not only with the authenticity of our ingredients and the care lavished on the preparation, we are casual, we are edgy, and we have a vibe - day and night, right in the heart of the city. Our low-hydration noodles are freshly made on-site, left for a minimum of two days to mature, and served steaming hot – just the way they should be. Known for our popularity, we limit seating time to two hours per table, ensuring you get the finest bowl of ramen – and so does the next hungry customer too!

Please note, we have outside seating available for walk-ins, which is weather dependent. No reservations are required for lunch.

    Overall, it was ok. I'll admit to being underwhelmed with the food. It was a first trip the restaurant and was really looking forward to it, the greeters, the maitr-de etc and wait staff were all great, the places look great. The food, the starters were great I had the pork and the ramen chips, lovely. The veg gyoza were great the ostrich and wagyu however was awful, tasted like a gamey- wet dog blanket - i couldn't eat them ( I don't know if was supposed to be like that of it was off) my daughter took a bit and didn't each the 2nd half of hers. very off putting. we left the remaining two on the plate. The ramen main was ok, not great. Possibly the 4-5th best ramen in Cape Town and not in my top 20 from further afield. Overall ok

    Cosy and romantic. The waiters were lovely and attentive. I’m pescatarian and there was only one option to choose from the mains but luckily for them, it’s incredible. I had the Tofu sesame Aruba soba (be sure to add an egg) the sauce was thick, flavourful and unique, definitely something I’d go back for.

    What a great deal, Thursday night, happy hour 5-7.00pm, 2-1 cocktails and some dishes… what’s not to like! We were a table of 6, 4 just off intercontinental flights, quick, light and a bunch of fun! Perfect! Happy days, yummy food!

    We had a fantastic mean and celebration at Ramenhead. our server, OSCAR was great. He explained all the meals to perfection. We will definitely be back.
