    We were a party of 6 and all agreed that the food was at best average. The squid starter was one dimensional and tasteless, the lamb shoulder was dry and possibly reheated. The courses were small and you had to order vegetables as a side in order to balance the main course. Our party left disappointed and will not return. The highlight was the wine which we will continue to buy.

    I really appreciate your response, and I am pleased to hear that the feedback will be taken seriously. My review was informed by previous visits to Glen Carlou when we enjoyed exceptional dining experiences. It was based on this history that we took close friends along expecting the same level of food but sadly, we were left underwhelmed and disappointed.

    The reason. seems to be a management problem. Our waitron seemed to be serving all over the place and it was difficult to attract her attention. She was serving from the far side of the balcony to our table inside the restaurant. Keep people serving inside, and those outside, outside. It was not her fault but management's fault. She was very pleasant when we got to see her.

    We are regular customers at Glen Carlou, we have been there more than 20 times and never had a bad meal. We did some wine tasting and the sommelier was very friendly and professional. The food and service were excellent like always.
