This is food rooted in respect and lifted by imagination from desert, dock, and forest to fork.

Our menu is an exploration of South Africa’s rich culinary heritage, reinterpreted with modern finesse. Expect flavours that honour tradition while embracing discovery.

Each dish is crafted with care, layered in flavour, thoughtful in texture, and grounded in the essence of the land. You may taste the tang of coastal seaweed beside wild-caught fish, or the gentle smokiness of heirloom grains paired with foraged greens. Every plate tells a story, and every story begins with connection.

Beyond the table, Room 32 comes alive through spectator-high teas , an elevated, social ritual where guests gather, observe, and indulge in finely crafted savouries, patisserie, and teas served with theatre and style. Our lively brunches bring a more spirited rhythm to the space, pairing bold flavours with an easy sense of celebration, music, and shared moments.

Our beverage program echoes this philosophy. Wines are carefully selected from winemakers and vineyards that understand the land as intimately as we do. Mocktails, spirits, and signature cocktails are stirred and shaken with purpose ,balancing bold South African botanicals with refined global techniques.

    From the moment you arrive at the entrance gate, you're greeted with class and elegance. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated, creating an atmosphere that feels truly out of this world. I genuinely felt as though I was having breakfast in another country. The décor is stunning, the food is beyond delicious, and the staff are warm, friendly, and exceptionally professional. What an unforgettable experience! I would recommend this place without hesitation and can't wait to return. A tip for anyone planning to visit: reservations are mandatory and must be made in advance on Dineplan. A deposit is also required to secure your booking, so be sure to plan ahead.

The restaurant features a beautiful table setup and a lovely, tranquil patio setting that perfectly sets the mood for an elegant afternoon. I also want to sincerely commend the management and staff for graciously accommodating a last-minute addition to our party without any fuss. The Service Unfortunately, the pacing of the afternoon is where things fell significantly short. While our waiter was incredibly lovely and polite, the overall service was unacceptably slow. We ordered champagne, but it took a full 40 minutes to reach our table. Worse still, our high tea reservation was booked for 14:00, yet the very first course did not arrive until 15:45. The Food & Drinks When the food finally did arrive, the presentation was absolutely exquisite. However, the taste itself was slightly disappointing and didn't quite match the high bar set by the visual appeal. Additionally, there was a frustrating discrepancy with the menu: it explicitly noted that three drinks were included with the high tea, but we were informed that this no longer applied and we were limited to two. The Verdict Aesthetically, this is a stunning venue with polite, accommodating staff. However, waiting nearly two hours for food and dealing with outdated menu inclusions significantly detracted from what should have been a seamless and relaxing high tea experience.
