The Root44 Wine emporium, located on the first-floor, hosts offerings for the cultured person with a keen interest in wine, art, and good food. Surrounded by a well-designed structure and stylish interior, it boasts an art gallery, sport’s bar, oyster bar, coffee shop, restaurant and a wine shop and tasting room that showcases local wines and gives guests a tasting experience of an array of Stellenbosch wines. The wine shop is inspired by a journey of discovery through the wine route of Stellenbosch.

    The tasting was phenomenal, they can just add more snacks to the tasting. Service was top notch. I would go back again and again. Clean fresh and calm environment a nice place to just relax and savour the environment good food good wine. I really loved it.

    9 people Wrong orders, pan fried calamari that was deep dried when it arrived at the table, sushi that was suppose to be prawns was salmon and 1 order which was a meze platter came so late that 2 people around the table had already finished their food Not a good experience, was a 72 birthday and when he ordered they did not have lambshank I feel the ladies serving us could've given us a heads up on what was not available First time at the restaurant and defnitely last the stalls downstairs have better food and service.
