The advertisement was very misleading. According to our knowledge buffet means we can eat as much as we'd like to. To our surprise it was one helping with some plates not having everything as advertised on the advertisement. There were two stations but the stations didn't have the same stuff on both sides. The starter was disappointing, the service was bad. I'd never recommend anyone to go to Root44 for their Sunday lunch, definitely not value for your money.

We arrived to with no cutlery or crockery on the table. Food was sub par. Buffet Chicken was dry and chewy. Rice was served after the protien, so no way to get gravy on rice. No bowls for pudding or spoons. Service was slow when we asked for the bill they wanted to charge us full price for 2 children under 12. Wont be eating there again

A very basic menu on a Mother’s Day special day was off putting. Food was prepared very poorly, staff was not attentive Even drinks menu was limited. To make it worse, we didnt have option to order a la carte!!! Please do better. This is below standard

What a disappointment. Booked for Mother’s Day lunch which was advertised as a buffet. It is not. R350 for one plate of food and a dessert. Seem to be unprepared for the number of patrons as they kept running out of certain items then you have to wait for refill, or get sent to another food station. Some staff members took it upon themselves to explain, very abruptly that you cannot get second serving. There were some staff members who were very courteous and friendly. Complimentary drink was alcoholic , with no alternative for those who don’t/ can’t drink alcohol. Food was decent, if it was warm. Nice venue, views, would go again but not for “buffet”.
