    Nachdem sie zum zweiten Mal die Buchungsgebür verlangt und bekommen haben, haben sie uns komplett abgesagt. Was eine absolut Frechheit ist. Und jetzt sollen wir das ganze noch bewerten???????

    Dear, Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were forced to close the restaurant. We tried to reach you for days, by phone using a European number and several South African numbers, texting, and WhatsApp, but the phone number you provided wasn't working. The only solution was to cancel through the system and refund the deposit. We understand your frustration, but we had no other option. We didn't ask for a deposit twice; you booked twice. The system sends a payment request with each booking. If you have any further questions, you can always reach us personally via the number on our website. Best regards, Roots team

    We had a fantastic afternoon at Art.Wine@Dunstone, the party was as bubbly as the Marie J cap classique! The food & wine pairing was sublime and the fashion show broke the bank. Can definitely recommend!

    A little off the familiar track up Wellington way, our trip to Roots Bistro at Dunstone Estate turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. It is a smaller winery with a more intimate charm and unique character that is sometimes missing at some of the bigger estates. Maudie and Dirk were wonderful hosts with a great personal touch. For red wine lovers their 2023 grenache or and the grenache/shiraz blend were a good choice. The well prepared menu by an enthusiastic young chef at the bistro allowed for a long, lazy lunch. It was an afternoon well spent in a lesser known yet very beautiful wine region and definitely worth a visit.
