What a wonderful farm-style sharing lunch! The food for adults was incredible - so delicious and wholesome, the setting is lovely - spacious and with lovely views and the staff was so attentive and accomodating. The only reason why I am not giving 5 stars for the food is because while us adults enjoyed the most amazing meal, the kids' only choice was boring chicken strips and chips; even if obviously good quality, it is still totally unimaginative.

I was anxious to try this restaurant as I booked a large group dinner in january on trust. The lunch was spectacular, we loved the flavours and the presentation was attractive. Extremely good value for money. Our waitress was a delight! The ambiance was slightly marred by the repair of doors outside, noisy and created sawdust which made it impossible to sit in the sunshine. But, doors need repairing I suppose. But I did feel that this whole issue could have been handled better, if one is invited to sit anywhere, then anywhere ought to be possible. Also, quite a lot of flies inside the restaurant, which is annoying when you have food-sharing dishes. Maybe a fly-net? And one annoying flickering down-light over the bar. The only taste-complaint I had was the dreadful coffee, which was unfortunate after such tasty food. I'd encourage Rykaarts to look for a new, artisinal coffee supplier. There are so many good roasters now there is no good excuse for bad coffee! I shall happily book meals for groups here again. Thank you!
