Salsa is not your traditional Mexican Grill. Sure, we offer authentic Mexican recipes. And yes, we use traditional cooking methods. In fact, we traveled all the way to the West Coast of the USA to master them and bring them back to South Africa!

But, what makes the Salsa experience truly special is the inspired, healthy, modern twist that we give each of our signature dishes. Salsa is all about freedom. Naturally, we use only the freshest, quality ingredients, sourced from farms that meet our high ethical standards. We support sustainable farming, and small businesses – with grass-fed beef and free range chicken as healthy alternatives offered on our menu.     The restaurant presented a thoughtfully designed ambiance that captured the essence of Mexico’s vibrant cultural identity, as often depicted in film and media. It achieved a commendable balance between warmth and sophistication, offering an environment that was both welcoming and refined. Cleanliness was clearly a priority, with both the dining area and restrooms maintained to a high standard. Service was delivered with professionalism and efficiency. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and provide well-informed recommendations that contribute meaningfully to the overall experience. While attentive throughout, minor delays were noted in drink refills. The beef quesadilla—a highlight—was cooked to perfection, tender and well-seasoned. The accompanying skinny fries were crisp. However, the beef strips would benefit from being cut smaller to enhance ease of eating. Additionally, the salsa, though flavorful, was positioned too discreetly on the plate and went unnoticed until the latter part of the meal. Pricing was consistent with the quality and portion sizes offered. A two-person meal with beverages came to approximately R1 200, which represented good value for me. The venue is well-suited for occasions that call for a relaxed atmosphere, whether for social gatherings or intimate dinners. The cocktail and tequila offerings are particularly commendable, arguably a more gratifying option than dessert to conclude the evening.
