Salsa is not your traditional Mexican Grill. Sure, we offer authentic Mexican recipes. And yes, we use traditional cooking methods. In fact, we traveled all the way to the West Coast of the USA to master them and bring them back to South Africa!

But, what makes the Salsa experience truly special is the inspired, healthy, modern twist that we give each of our signature dishes. Salsa is all about freedom.     My favorite restaurant by far. Manager is such a nice person, staff is amazing, and food was absolutely delicious.

    My rating is based on my last two experiences at Salsa Menlyn Maine. We have booked dinner on two occasions when there have been concerts at at the Arena. On the first occasion, after confirming the booking, I arrived only to find that there was no booking for a table of 6 and the restaurant was full. It seemed the book where bookings are captured and the clipboard used on the night, were not the same. They did everntually make a plan for us, but dinner was then rushed before we had to leave. On the second and most recent occasion (7 February 2026) I received a call from the restaurant asking if I was still coming (for a 5pm booking) when I booked for 6pm (via dineplan). Then I received a call at 18h20 while sitting at the restaurant to find out if I was still coming. I waved at the host to show him I was there. The restaurant was busy, but our drinks and food took incredibly long. 2 of us at the table received our food, we had to follow up on the other two, the third arrived, and the three of us were finished eating by the time the fourth arrived. We also ordered another round of the strawberry jug, which arrived after we had finished eating. We then couldn't finish this before we needed to leave. The waitress did keep telling us that she was waiting on the kitchen and the bar. The food iteself was alright. Overall, a little bit of an average experience. The atmosphere however is lovely and jolly, especially with a concert on, which helps to lessen (not excuse) the above service issues.

    I loved, loved, loved it. The place was amazing, and they treated us with so much attention. We enjoyed the food. And we just wanted Bacon wrapped Jalapeno Popper, which they didn't have, otherwise, great experience.

    Food, Portions and presentation/serving is Good. Pricing is within reason and Ambience is great. Server was good. Maybe just for outside get an Electric Bug Repellent or fans to deter them. Overall, a great experience and will recommend!
