    It was a great experience. Set in great natural surroundings, we had a peaceful and really comfortable breakfast. The food was impeccable! We had 8 people in our party and all food ordered was top class and the quality made the pricing of great value for money. Thank you for another great memory

    Everything, from the greeting at the entrance, the starters, the main meal and the drinks, was lovely. We were, unfortunately, too full to order dessert, but the desserts that some of the other diners enjoyed, looked absolutely wonderful. We will certainly be back. Keep up the good work.     We were extremely disappointed with our experience. We had been very much looking forward to travelling from Johannesburg to enjoy a lunch out in the country. Our party comprised two people. We were seated at a lovely table, outside which is what we requested. Initially our waiter was very pleasant but unfortunately when it came to him communicating the specials we struggled to understand him. We think he has a speech impediment. Both we and he were uncomfortable with our having to ask him to repeat the specials on a number of occasions. We both settled on the rib eye steak with a Jack Daniel's brandy sauce on teh menu. My steak was done according to my request but my friend's steak was done (very) rare and not medium rare as she requested. That apart the steaks were flavourless and the sauce was a glorified white sauce with no hint of whisky. We both abandandoned it. The roasted shalotts and baby potatoes ( about two each on each plate) were nice and had flavour but the other vegetables were limp and inedible. Our shared dessert (cheese cake) was delicious. The coffee undrinkable. There was only one red wine on offer by the carafe. Our drinks comprised three rock shandies, one soda water, and one carafe of red wine. On pricing, the bill of R1084 (including tip) for two people ordering as above was excessive. At no stage did any member of staff other than our waiter approach our table to check on whether we were happy. All in all a very disappointing experience.
