Our coffee bar opens at the crack of dawn each day. Run by professional (and ever so dapper) baristas, we get the day going in pursuit of nourishing your inner most delectable cravings – from your go-to cuppa happiness to freshly baked deli delights. And so, this ritual continues until such time as is socially acceptable to say, “wine bar now open.”

Cue the chiming hunger bell, and the restaurant starts sending out what can only be described as “darn good soul food”. If there’s one thing the Square Cafe & Wine Bar knocks out of the culinary park, it’s a menu singing with expertly chosen flavour combinations – some to remind you of days gone by, and others you’ll never forget.

    I have been wanting to try Square Cafe for the longest of times and decided to go for Mother’s Day, we ordered from the Al La Carte menu, but we were highly disappointed, and felt incredibly sorry for our waiter who was back and fourth with the kitchen as to why the food was taking so long, even ordering a Cappuccino took quite some time to arrive. We asked for medium steak and received a steak cooked well done, the chef gave a complimentary burger however we also requested it medium but it arrived as well done. We understand that it could have been a bad day in the kitchen but we were there for over two hours and most of that time was because we were waiting for our food hence the reason we didn't order dessert because who knows how long we'd have to still wait. I hope the communication between the kitchen and front house gets better for the restaurant to ensure that customers are not left wondering why their meal is taking so long and that customers get their food as they have requested it to be cooked especially for the prices been charged.
