    Disappointed with the lack of wine knowledge - only wanted to know which Rose was the driest and no one could answer the question. Also felt awkward as it was a quiet Monday night and the staff clearly wanted to get home so clear down was all done, coffee machines cleaned, bar lights off whilst we were eating our meal meaning we didn’t feel we could ask for more drinks or dessert. It would be better to either not take the reservation or have a clear closing time. Our reservation was at 7.30 and we were back in the car at 8.40! Staff were friendly but I feel there is a lack of training which leaves a less than seamless experience.

    Ordered the Stoep Brekkie, food was very good except the sausage that tasted very salty. But overall it is a big breakfast for one.

    Our end of the room lacked ambience. It could be made more welcoming. Currently ambience is like the staff canteen for middle managers.

    We specifically booked and were confirmed to sit at the play area, but when we arrived were advised that the play area was closed due to a wedding. I believe the restaurant had a duty to notify us of that prior to arrival and not have it available to book then. The estate was lovely but that was a key factor for our booking.

    The quality of two of the four meals was poor and it was very expensive. Disappointing as this is a beautiful restaurant with lovely views over the vineyards.
