    The majority of our table ordered the line fish which was Kingklip - it was absolutely delicious with a hint of a smokey/braai type taste. The vegetables were cooked to perfection too. The cheesecake was out of this world and my colleagues creme brulee was perfect. We had a lovely lunch with you and we will definitely be back to visit again.

    Geweldige locatie. Het eten was voldoende maar had nog wat beter gekund. Hetzelfde geld voor de bediening. Wij komen toch nog graag een keer terug.

    We have visited Stoep at Laborie several times over the past year, and we’ve always enjoyed great service and wonderful food. It’s been one of our favorite spots, which is exactly why we chose it for our team’s year-end lunch this week. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was disappointing. We waited more than an hour for our meals (a food order for only six people), and no one informed us of any delay in the kitchen. Aside from one large group, the restaurant was not particularly busy — we’ve seen it far busier with much faster service. The long wait, paired with the lack of communication, made the experience frustrating. Being in the tourism and hospitality industry ourselves, we understand the pressures of the busy season and how easily operations can fall behind. However, we believe communication is key, and keeping guests updated makes a big difference. We hope the team sees this as constructive feedback and an opportunity to grow, as we know Stoep can deliver excellent service. We still appreciate the restaurant and its team, and we hope our next visit reflects the level of service we’ve enjoyed in the past.
