    Lovely restaurant great service but the food was disappointing.

    Waited over two hours for the food and some of the orders were wrong. Got the impression that our order was misplaced as other tables that arrived after us got their food before us... Manager came around after we had our meals and compensated us by giving a discount and charging no corkage fee. All in all, not a great experience.

    It’s a pity such a wonderful destination venue is marred by abysmal service. Although the restaurant was busy, it took quite a while to order a bottle of water o start our lunch. Again we had to call service staff to place a food order. Over an hour later we were still waiting for food. We never ordered any starters. 2 pasta dishes, a burger and a salad are not complex dishes for any restaurant. By the time we sorted the bill, we had spent 3 hours over 1 dish each. For such a wonderful venue which you don’t want to be hurried through lunch, having to call staff over to enquire what has happened to your order is not the best for such a caliber of restaurant. Not only was front of house vague with response and slow with service, the kitchen seemed rather stretched with delivering food.We were eventually the last to leave although not the last to arrive. A disappointment as the delay caused our group to miss a visit to the inviting deli as they closed at 3pm. It was a definite refusal at entry even after trying to explain that we had been there since 1pm.

    Beautiful views, a lovely ambiance, and great food! Ideal for an informal lunch, as the menu is fairly limited.

    Food not as good as usual. Felt it had been hanging around. Chips soggy , mussels chewy .

    We visited on Saturday evening and had a really enjoyable experience overall. The food was excellent, well prepared, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The location is also a standout, offering a fantastic setting that adds a lot to the atmosphere and makes it a great place for a relaxed evening out. One small point to note is that, given the quality and feel of the restaurant, we expected the red wine list to be a bit more extensive. While the available options were good, a broader selection would elevate the experience even further. We are in the winelands after all:) All in all, a great spot with excellent food and an amazing location, and one we’d happily return to.
