Almost a two years after the opening of MERTIA in Stellenbosch, a second space has taken shape just around the corner. TERRA is an all-day eatery inspired by nature and the earth — a relaxed place to gather, connect, and enjoy honest food from morning to night.

TERRA reimagines the dining experience with a casual, all-day menu.     Our deposit of R400 was not taken into the account Exhorbitant corkage

If there is any uncertainty regarding the invoice, please feel free to contact us directly and we will gladly review it with you. With regard to corkage, TERRA is one of the very few restaurants in town that allows corkage. Our fee is in line with other businesses in the area and reflects the service, glassware, and handling involved. If this clears things up, we would truly appreciate it if you’d consider updating your review. It means a great deal to our small team.     Terra is a very nice restaurant with nice drinks on the menu and amazing food. The manager and waiters are lovely and create a nice evening.

    Our food was a bit like the curates egg, but the other way around, parts of it were not so good. The oysters were excellent, so too were the tomato pani puri and the wagyu tatami. The line fish ( kob) with curry and coconut was also good, but could have been better if the balance between the coconut and curry elements was better. It tended to overpower the fish itself. The big dissapintment was the crayfish orzo, with bisque reduction. This was sadly rather tasteless, the bisque perhaps not reduced enough? Personally I think a risotto would have been more suitable. The dessert, the dark chocolate hazelnut caramel treat was outrageously rich and decadent!! All in all we would visit again. Three and a half stars for the food, on the night but I m sure next time it will be 4 or 5 stars!
