    The venue has a beautiful atmosphere, great music, and a lovely ambiance. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The lamb ribs lacked flavour, and the gnocchi was overly tangy, making the dish feel unbalanced and not very palatable. The staff were kind enough to replace my meal, but it was still underwhelming. I was celebrating a birthday, and although the restaurant confirmed they would do something special, nothing was done. A small personal touch would have made the evening much more memorable. Overall, the setting was fantastic, but the food and missed birthday gesture were disappointing.

    We tried both tasting menus - both delicious. The wine pairing was very well matched and was brought to life by Allan’s excellent knowledge. A leisurely and enjoyable meal.

    I always enjoyed Foliage in Franschoek and was happy to find Chris Erasmus again at Terrarium. The location at Queen Victoria Hotel is not the easiest to find but well worth the effort. I ordered the winter menu; the kingklip and venison were both cooked to absolute perfection. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly. Sitting close to the internal gas fire on a very cold night, I felt very content

    Very nice place but I wouldn’t suggest the winter special for anyone,big waste of money.Just rather order from à la carte

    What an experience! Chef Chris Erasmus’ menu reads like a well-thought out novel and lives up to the hype! We had excellent service from Allen (who is training as a sommelier), and his knowledge of food and wine pairing was both impressive and educational. The food was exquisite and each course of the tasting menu (we had both the Fauna and Flora menu’s) were thoughtfully executed by the head chef and his team. A definite dining highlight.

    We had one of the most exquisite, immersive and unique evenings of dining. Every element, every dish, the presentation, all of it was absolutely top class. We cannot wait to come back, could eat those oysters everyday!
