Our one of a kind family-friendly restaurant located in the heart of Irene, Centurion. The Barn Restaurant which is situated within the iconic Irene Farm, is in one of the historic original farm buildings which date back over 120 years. We offer intimate and charming inside dining or serene outside seating under the old oak trees with picturesque views of the farm. For the families, we have newborn calves to interact with, a jungle gym, splash pool for the toddlers and antique tractors to fiddle with. There are several small dams with ducks, geese, turtles and fish for you to see. If that wasn't enough to do, there are also walking trails around the farm which take you through our avenues of trees and pastures of Holstein cows. No matter the age, we have something for you. Come unwind at Irene Farm for an unforgettable experience and timeless memories!

Our Mother’s Day lunch experience was completely unacceptable and deeply disappointing from start to finish. What was advertised and paid for in advance was simply not what was delivered. The food was cold, tasteless, and poorly managed throughout the service. Guests were forced to stand in long queues for food, only to find that basic necessities such as plates were unavailable. Food was removed far too quickly, leaving guests rushed and frustrated. To make matters worse, several prominently advertised items, including the sushi and soup, were not available at all. The outside seating area was chaotic and clearly not prepared for guests. Strong wind caused the blinds to blow tables over repeatedly, creating both an uncomfortable and unsafe environment. Staff appeared completely indifferent to the situation and made no meaningful effort to address or manage it. It was obvious that the blinds were not properly secured and that maintenance or safety measures had been neglected. The only positive aspect of the experience was our waiter, who remained friendly and helpful despite being visibly embarrassed when questioned about the missing menu items and poor service delivery. What is most concerning is that full payment was demanded upfront for this event, yet customers did not receive the experience, quality, or menu that was promised. If advertised dishes are unavailable, customers should at the very least be informed in advance or offered a suitable alternative or compromise. This was not merely a disappointing lunch — it was false advertising and extremely poor event management on what should have been a special occasion. Customers paid for a premium Mother’s Day experience and received something far below acceptable standard.

The food was not worth R800. For a family of 4 and only one of some of the items. Also they didnt have our booking ready when we arrived. The service was slow. Irene diary farm has become too busy with too little staff so the service has dropped.

The while idea of the picnic is great but, food was cold, half of the basket was missing. When I asked for it, we waited a long time for it to arrive, when it came it was not as per the website. Would get a lot more food if I order from their menu vs the basket.

SHOCKING ADVERTISING. WHEN YOU PAY R1 050.00 FOR A PICNIC WHICH "SERVES" 8-10 PEOPLE. TO OUR DISGUST 2 PIZZAS AND A BOTTLE OF WINE FOR R1000. MEANING WE PAID R700 TO SIT AT A TABLE YOU REALLY NEED TO WORK ON YOUR ADVERTISING. MAYBE IF YOU SAID "SEATS 8-10" NOT SERVES. WHAT WERE YOU SERVING (OUR IMAGE WAS THE PICNIC BASKET WITH AN ADDITION PIZZA. RIP OFF

Definitely wasn’t great but it was the first time that they had done this so hopefully next time will be better, It was for the food stalls which were five different food stations but definitely needs some more work , but the concept is cool
