Our one of a kind family-friendly restaurant located in the heart of Irene, Centurion. The Barn Restaurant which is situated within the iconic Irene Farm, is in one of the historic original farm buildings which date back over 120 years. We offer intimate and charming inside dining or serene outside seating under the old oak trees with picturesque views of the farm. For the families, we have newborn calves to interact with, a jungle gym, splash pool for the toddlers and antique tractors to fiddle with. There are several small dams with ducks, geese, turtles and fish for you to see. If that wasn't enough to do, there are also walking trails around the farm which take you through our avenues of trees and pastures of Holstein cows. No matter the age, we have something for you.     Absolutely shocking experience with the staff. I planned to have my sons 1st birthday breakfast at the barn but because we didn’t want to pay 350 per head for a party package and instead wanted to book tables and order from the menus we were treated less than satisfactory. I tried to decorate my table for 20 adults and 4 kids and received no help no matter how much I tried. Refused to give us any plages or glasses to place on the table because we didn’t “rent out the entire venue” as they said to me or book the “party package’. Was disgusting. Not one waiter or anybody helped us set up or carry a single thing no matter how much I tried asking for help. The manager was extremely rude to me and said they can’t even provide us with side plates or absolutely anything unless I pay for a party package. Would not even assist with table cloths and said “we are not obligated to when you haven’t paid for one”. Was just absolutely shocking. The manager continued to laugh and talk to her colleague in her home language so that we could not understand her while they looked us at and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Was truly the worst experience. I was not even allowed to receive ONE small candle for my sons birthday cake. Complete money-making sick sick industry going on there with those people . I kept asking for assistance and telling them that I was in a rush but was still not be assisted whatsoever . Treated like nothing because I did not pay for a “party package”. Just absolutely disgusting experience. I drove to the frazybstore up the road to buy plates for my guests and glasses and a candle for my son - left the party to do this. I will never ever recommend this place again.

    Completely under staffed, our table booking was not ready and was apparently given away. Waitress forgot to take people's order and food was not hot or brought our together. Waiters refuse to help out unless it is their table. All and all we were really disappointed and can see the negative changes creep in. Please get a manager that can assist you with organizing and have people trained.

    We were a big group and there was one waitress so service was slow. Having said that, her service was great given the large table. The international visitors really enjoyed

    I had a terrible experience , we even left at 13:30. The food was so underwhelming. Not value for money, I will not do the Easter lunch buffet option ever again. No one informed us of the egg hunt, my on has been waiting. 0/10

    The service was terrible. We asked for menus twice. We had to ask for the kiddies menu and it was obvious that we had two children with us. The interaction with our waiter was flat with no enthusiasm and not friendly at all. Service let down our experience.

    I must admit that I was disappointed with the entire experience. Despite having a reservation that I paid a deposit for, on arrival at the front desk I was not asked if I have a reservation which meant that when it came time to pay the bill it was quite something to organise the deposit off the Bill. We had to ask twice for a waiter to serve us. You just sit like livestock in a pen at a table waiting. I do not understand why the long wait for food, and even worse the shared tomato sauce between tables. Really you cannot put a bottle of tomato sauce on each table and you have waiters running around taking this from patrons for other patrons. Must admit not a place I will recommend if you looking for good service that matches the food price.
