Our one of a kind family-friendly restaurant located in the heart of Irene, Centurion. The Barn Restaurant which is situated within the iconic Irene Farm, is in one of the historic original farm buildings which date back over 120 years. We offer intimate and charming inside dining or serene outside seating under the old oak trees with picturesque views of the farm. For the families, we have newborn calves to interact with, a jungle gym, splash pool for the toddlers and antique tractors to fiddle with. There are several small dams with ducks, geese, turtles and fish for you to see. If that wasn't enough to do, there are also walking trails around the farm which take you through our avenues of trees and pastures of Holstein cows. No matter the age, we have something for you.     We had booked a milkshake tasting 2 months in advance. After arriving there was confusion among some of the staff because Irene Farm had since cancelled the tasting. Luckily they did sort that out for us, but then the service for the food that we ordered was poor, plus more confusion about when they should actually bring the food, resulting in food that wasn't hot. Overall just an average experience.

    The timeof the buffet indicated on website was wrong. We had to wait an hour to start eating. Selection of food was less than a month ago. Overall not a good experience compared to last time. Will look elsewhere in future.

    Hello, the 3 savoury platters were wonderful with a lot of different choices on each and the service was great. However, the 2 cakes from the delhi were so old (actually tasted stale and musty) that I had to apologise to the guests about the "dessert." I also noticed people occupying empty benches reserved for functions (like a couple at a long table like ours). I wondered why they were allowed to do this as I paid a lot for my "private function" table and two benches? People also randomly picknicked at the metal tables? Also, after having received a final statement days before, personnel indicated it was incorrect and that the credit was much less. Thank you for your time and attention.     The food was good , spinach too salty and the beef was too dry. Staff was very slow to clear the table, I had to personally ask that tables be cleared. The place was welcoming and very friendly , warm welcome,. Missed ice cream in the dessert since we had a number of children , maybe cones or so , but probably not catered for. It was a lovely experience fir family and friends.

    Had a very good time! Atmosphere was beautiful and love seeing all the animals. I ordered 2 platters that serves 4-6 people which was delicious and enough for 6 people. Servers were friendly and kind. The reservation fee does seem a bit much for what you get at the end of the day, but other than that. We did enjoy our time!
