Our one of a kind family-friendly restaurant located in the heart of Irene, Centurion. The Barn Restaurant which is situated within the iconic Irene Farm, is in one of the historic original farm buildings which date back over 120 years. We offer intimate and charming inside dining or serene outside seating under the old oak trees with picturesque views of the farm. For the families, we have newborn calves to interact with, a jungle gym, splash pool for the toddlers and antique tractors to fiddle with. There are several small dams with ducks, geese, turtles and fish for you to see. If that wasn't enough to do, there are also walking trails around the farm which take you through our avenues of trees and pastures of Holstein cows. No matter the age, we have something for you. Come unwind at Irene Farm for an unforgettable experience and timeless memories!

The food was quite disappointing. My mom was first brought the wrong meal, then brought a steak that was cold and still raw as though it had been forgotten while everyone else's meals was being cooked. My wrap was bland and only had flavour when I happened to bite into a spot that happened to have some mustard spread on it. My husband's lamb curry was mediocre and despite the menu saying "mild to hot" he had no choice in spiciness and was served a mild, nearly flavourless curry. My dad was the only one who enjoy his meal. My dessert was a bit disappointing. I have had better malva pudding at a Spur. I am quite disappointed as I had been looking forward to coming to the Barn for my birthday lunch only to be met with mediocre food and slow service.

The Food was absolutely Delicious, but the service was so poor. We arrived at 11h00 (as per the booking), but the table settings were not even done. I had to go ask several times for assistance to have the knives, forks, glasses, etc put on the tables, also getting attitudes from the waiters. They only finished the table setting after 12h00 and we were still told that they finish at 15h00, but already an hour was lost due to unprofessionalism - making it sounded like it's our fault. During the meal we struggled to get hold of the waiters for drink orders, some drinks were not even correct - sending it back and then it took forever to get the correct drink. We still left the restaurant with another bottle of champagne that we never got. I am very disappointed in the experience we had, I will never book with you again.

Took 2 hours to get milkshakes and waitress was absent. We asked for manager twice and it took 30 min to finally talk to him.

The strawberry milkshake the kids doesn't like maybe change that to vanilla The gin needs something like spices like mint, berries, rosemary and not just sliced lemon and orange and pomegranate The beer I would pair with dark chocolate, nuts and chips Thanks Joeann
