Our one of a kind family-friendly restaurant located in the heart of Irene, Centurion. The Barn Restaurant which is situated within the iconic Irene Farm, is in one of the historic original farm buildings which date back over 120 years. We offer intimate and charming inside dining or serene outside seating under the old oak trees with picturesque views of the farm. For the families, we have newborn calves to interact with, a jungle gym, splash pool for the toddlers and antique tractors to fiddle with. There are several small dams with ducks, geese, turtles and fish for you to see. If that wasn't enough to do, there are also walking trails around the farm which take you through our avenues of trees and pastures of Holstein cows. No matter the age, we have something for you. Come unwind at Irene Farm for an unforgettable experience and timeless memories!

    We made an online booking for 9 people and paid our deposit in advance. Upon arrival, we were shown to our table, but then waited about 15 minutes without any service. We had to get up twice to ask someone just to assist us with drinks. When we were finally attended to, the experience felt rushed, yet the drinks still took a long time to arrive. Trying to order food was equally frustrating, we had to ask for our waiter twice more before we could place our order. Our food (2 pizzas, chips, nachos, and 2 steak pies) took over 45 minutes to arrive. Once it did, no one checked in on us at any point to see if everything was okay. After finishing, we wanted to order more drinks, but once again struggled to get any attention. It was very clear that our waiter prioritised other tables over ours. We had planned to stay for dessert, but due to the poor service, we decided against it. Ironically, the only thing that arrived quickly was the bill, which says a lot about the overall experience. It’s a beautiful venue, but unfortunately the service let it down. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

    What a great place and experience for our guests visiting from Europe for a Study Trip. Enjoyed by all! Very efficient, friendly service for our group of 12.

    Environment and service was really good. Good value, not worth it when it comes to portion and price. With the farm being a draw card for children, the menu should really cater more for children and entertainment ie coloring in
