Our one of a kind family-friendly restaurant located in the heart of Irene, Centurion. The Barn Restaurant which is situated within the iconic Irene Farm, is in one of the historic original farm buildings which date back over 120 years. We offer intimate and charming inside dining or serene outside seating under the old oak trees with picturesque views of the farm. For the families, we have newborn calves to interact with, a jungle gym, splash pool for the toddlers and antique tractors to fiddle with. There are several small dams with ducks, geese, turtles and fish for you to see. If that wasn't enough to do, there are also walking trails around the farm which take you through our avenues of trees and pastures of Holstein cows. No matter the age, we have something for you. Come unwind at Irene Farm for an unforgettable experience and timeless memories!

    Love the ambiance. The food, not so much. Options for vegetarians can be greatly improved. Food order to delivery turnaround time can be improved. If it stays the same, and doesn't change, advise is, "patience is a virtue". Staff are friendly, and supervisors, especially, Masego, turned the food experience into a positive.

    We recently had a booking and were a bit confused about the R100 per person reservation fee, as this wasn’t clearly understood beforehand. Our waiter, Nonscelo, was friendly but unfortunately didn’t seem very attentive, and we had to ask several times for items that were repeatedly forgotten. The biggest disappointment was the food temperature. Our meals arrived cold, even though another table seated after us received their food first. Considering the food is served in a skillet, we expected it to be hot, but it wasn’t, and there were no hot plates either. That said, we would still like to give the restaurant another try because the overall concept has potential. Hopefully the service and food temperature can be improved, as these aspects really impact the overall experience.

    Expected at least a candle on the table or some resemblance that it is Valentine’s Day. No real atmosphere. We could hardly hear the music. I thought that dancing to romantic music on the night would have been fantastic. We really did not enjoy it.
