Located on Hobie Beach in Plettenberg Bay, The Bungalow offers relaxed coastal dining with sweeping ocean views and a vibrant, seasonal menu. From fresh seafood to gourmet wood-fired pizzas and handcrafted cocktails, every detail is designed to celebrate the best of beachside living.

    After an email confirming our booking, we got dressed and headed to dinner only to arrive to an empty restaurant, two staff members who proceeded to tell us they were closing and denied any booking on their system. Very disappointing.

    The food was average. I had the calamari grilled, which was tasteless.. the salad was ok. Tartar sauce I didn’t taste as I don’t do dairy. It also had carrots in it. Which is weird for that sauce. My husband had a very indifferent papa piazza. It’s a great location but needs to jack up the food to be tasty and exciting. The staff were very friendly. For a Sunday lunch it was not busy

    Very poor experience. Despite reserving and confirming reservation had to wait 15 minutes to be seated at table while just standing there amongst other diners. First drink 40 minutes after arriving and dinner one hour and twenty minutes after arriving. Totally understaffed. Very poor experience.
