Your Italian Restaurant in Cape Town

The Cousins Trattoria was an idea created by Andrea, Simone and Luca who wanted to bring their knowledge and passion for food to Cape Town.

These cousins from Romagna, on the Adriatic coast of Italy, have lived in (and loved) Cape Town for many years, but felt there was not a place in the city where they could find the simple, authentic Italian food they had grown up with, in their homeland.

So joining their skills, they opened The Cousins Trattoria, where Andrea makes fresh pasta every morning, using only fresh and natural ingredients, just like Mama does! Bread and tiramisu are baked daily; great coffee and a passion for service makes this easy going place a heaven for the senses.

    Well reviewed Italian restaurant but somewhat disappointed. We had the grilled vegetables appetizer and house salad, followed by eggplant parmigiana, spinach ricotta ravioli and arrabiata pasta. The food was good but nothing special. They were inflexible to making any changes or additions. Decor was intetesting with hanging light fixtures made with inverted hats.

    we love coming to cousins on our date nights (and for my 50th earlier this year) the food is excellent of course, but your team really take you over the top! they are all beautifully friendly and knowledgeable and just excellent!!! a big thank you to Thembi for making our experience last night magnificent!!
