It was our first visit to The Famous Butchers Grill. Prior to my arrival, I happened to read some of the reviews, many was good and a few was bad - like any normal person, reading the bad review made me a little skeptical but it was only fair to experience it for myself and I can safely say that I do not have any regrets. We had such an awesome and friendly waiter, Dave. The Manager and staff were also very friendly and accommodating. The ambience was soothing and the pianist was an added bonus. The food was absolutely amazing - it was packed with so much flavour and the portions were brilliant. We use "The Entertainer", and the transaction went so smoothly with no hassles. Well done and keep up the great standards. Wishing the staff of The Famous Butchers Grill a blessed Festive Season!

Our waiter (Dave) was excellent. Delivered on every promise and we never had to look for, nor ask for him. Very well done

Was a pretty depressing end to the night - celebrating my husband's 40th Birthday. We were told our supper would take 20 min - we waited almost an hour if not longer. Food brought to the table with the wrong sides, the Manager claimed, he will see what can be done for the inconvenience, but that he doesn't have the final say in terms of compensation/goodwill, needless to say we saw him whole evening, but after this exchange he didn't bother to acknowledge us or what he said for the rest of the evening. We were told the mistake was due to LS - that the system didn't update the side choices. There was a small group of foreigners being tended to by every staff member on shift, which didn't make sense to me - not very efficient because it was done at the expense of the other guests. We got our drink order while waiting for 2 more pax to jin our party, I had to ask for another drink because I was thirsty, but becase the waiter couldn't be bothered to check on the table. My steak was dry, and pretty dead after having ordered it medium rare, my mom's food had to be asked for since we all got our meals while she was still waiting for her. We've been to this restaurant quite a few times before, and never have I regretted my choice of restaurant as much as I did last night. Whether using the entertainer gives the impression that you don't deserve the same type of service as everyone else, I'm not sure, however that was the perception and impression created. In the last 3 weeks, I've had bookings at Pigalle and Gold restaurant, and their service was exceptional, unfortunately THE FAMOUS BUTCHERS GRILL doesn't compare and doesn't come close to the service standards offered and accustomed to by most restaurants on Dineplan - I would've avoided paying the service charge/fee if I could, but I was mindful of your terms and conditions. I don't mind paying more money for quality especially when in silver service restaurants it's almost guaranteed, but you need to go back to the drawing boards on this 1 . . . busy with too many things at once and you forget the customer experience - Bolt, Mr Delivery orders all done by the same team along with the orders received inside - streamline your processes so you can deliver an efficient and easier service regardless of which medium the customer chooses to use. Loadshedding has been around for a while, surely the system error of not downloading the full order isn't something that happened for the first time - take the time and effort to ensure all information is updated with the kitchen staff and especially the chef. Invest and display an interest in your customers - there's a reason they decided to come to your establishment in the first place. I will always remember this as the depressing "place" we decided to celebrate my husband's birthday. Regards, Carmen Young

My husband's steak was full of sinew, when we told the waiter, his reply was "ok" then he walked away and came back two minutes later to ask if we wanted the bill. Jazz music was great though
