    We had an absolutely wonderful evening with my daughter and son in law. I had the lamb shank, which was delicious. The restaurant does not charge corkage, which is great. I’m looking forward to trying the rest of the menu on return visits to Stellenbosch. You need to book ahead of time, as it’s usually fully booked, which tells you how good this restaurant is.

    We celebrated our birthday’s yesterday (mine on Sunday the 12th and my husbands on Tuesday the 14th) We requested to sit in the courtyard, and we had Pieter as our waiter. The food was as always excellent and most enjoyable. We would like to give a special shoutout to Pieter for making our lunch experience truly memorable. Pieter attentiveness and friendly manner enhanced our meal and made us feel valued guests. Thank you from both of us.

    We are "frequent flyers" at the Fat Butcher. We enjoy going for lunches and dinners on special occasions. The staff are friendly, polite, helpful & allround good people. Always a lovely experience.
