    The food was delicious, unfortunately our waitress was not very informed about the specials of the day. Other than that I fully recommend the restaurant.

    Great location, wonderful ambience, exceptional service. I had the calamari/hake combo with an Asian slaw salad. My wife had the batter hake with chips. Both meals were tasty, well presented and of a generous portion size. Lovely evening. Only concern is the very steep and slippery stair access as it was raining when we arrived. We certainly recommend the Fat Fish plettenberg bay!

    The good: Parmesan encrusted fish was incredible. The restaurant is beautiful inside. The view must be spectacular during the day. Sadly we booked for the evening. The bad: Virgin Mary cocktails arrived with no garnish I.e. cucumber or celery stick. The milk bread is charged and is stale bread toasted in a bucket of garlic and butter The ugly: sadly one of our guests had mobility issues and the restaurant provided us with back entrance parking. This means we came through the kitchen. The kitchen needs some real urgent attention. Terrible odours didn’t look guest ready at all. The smell was enough for me to cancel the reservation entirely! There needs to be more immediate hygiene control.

    Really nice fish restaurant with many fish and wine options on the menu. Have to try it when you visit Plattenberg Bay
