Our food is civilised without being pretentious … that is to say it has natural taste, smells and textures, and much character… often it looks beautiful too. What is paramount is that it is prepared with respect, savvy and love… then, it is the right food for us to eat …

    Food was excellent (Bistronomy Lunch Menu). The wild mushrooms and ricotta raviole is always delicious. Also enjoyed the Sprinbok loin.

    We always feel very special right from the moment w enter the restaurant. The food is fantastic- beautifully served and amazing flavours - it’s certainly our favourite.

    This booking at the Foodbarn was a double joy: Firstly, we were invited to our favourite restaurant by guests of Constantia Cottages, and secondly, the food was once again fantastic, and all nine members of our group were delighted. The oysters are still the best in the Western Cape, and the springbok is fantastic! We're already looking forward to our next visit.
