    We were expecting far better food-wise! To say we were disappointed and embarrassed is an understatement. We were hoping to please our international guests by choosing The Food Barn, but the food let us down. Food is overpriced and poor. Service is excellent and so is the setting. What a pity!

    I havent been to the Foodbarn for ages. The general consensus that the food was average and overpriced.. There are so many amazing restaurants in Cape Town, we are spoilt for choice. It's such a pity as I was always such a fan of the Foodbarn.

    We have been to the food barn many times this season and always had a fantastic meal, however our main course was shocking today. I brought it to the attention of the manager who not in the least interested or apologetic! I expect more from a restaurant of this standard. Our steak was tough. It had obviously not been rested, the chips were overcooked and very brown!! All in all a sub standard meal. I asked if the chef had changed but was told no. Food Barn you will have to do better than this to keep your regular customers.We will not be going back!
