At the Foodbarn Café & Tapas you’ll step into a relaxed and characterful old barn…here, we serve the food that our Chef patron Franck Dangereux is famous for, delicious bistro vibe during the day and fun tapas in the evening.

Our food is civilised without being pretentious … that is to say it has natural taste, smells and textures, and much character… often it looks beautiful too. What is paramount is that it is prepared with respect, savvy and love… then, it is the right food for us to eat …

    Foodbarn never disappoints. The Foodbarn Team always goes out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Our wonderful waiter for the evening, Eddy, was excellent. I love the new dish - the lobster bisque. And the lamb rack just never disappoints.

    I am vegetarian, gluten and egg free. I had the falafel burger without the bun and onion rings. I did not have the mayo as it has egg in it. The tomato salsa was stunning. My adapted meal banged with flavour, which bounced around my mouth long after the meal was completed. The restaurant easily accommodated my partner who is in a wheelchair. He had the lamb rack and he loved it. Our carer had the chicken liver salad which said was delicious. All meals beautifully presented. Highly recommend

    We've always enjoyed dining at the Food Barn and never been disappointed. Last night was the first time trying the Tapas menu which was great! However we felt that bringing all the courses to the table at once was a mistake as the food got cold very quickly. Other than that our waitress Saskia was lovely and even helped me sort out my Dine Plan voucher on my phone quickly and efficiently. Thank you Saskia.

    What a fantastic culinary experience that was! From the fantastic oysters to the perfect bouillabaisse to the buttery springbok: everything was of the finest quality! It has been confirmed once again that The Foodbarn is one of the best restaurants on the Cape Peninsula!
