Contemporary Cuisine in an Extraordinary Space.

For outside guests a deposit of R250 per person is required to secure the booking. The deposit will be deducted from the final bill.

Dining in The Granary Café is a unique experience. The menu inherits the same comfortable, eclectic and contemporary style as Liz Biden’s hotel interiors. Executive Chef Veronica Canha-Hibbert and her team believe in good, honest and approachable food that showcases seasonal, local ingredients.

    Came on Sunday evening for my sister’s birthday dinner. Lucky was our waiter. From the moment we walked in he welcomed us warmly and with joy. His attention to detail is exceptional. His knowledge of the menu made it very easy for us to choose great meals on the menu. His recommendations were also very helpful. We had two short ribs and the kingklip . The food was very tasty and portions were very reasonable and well priced. The restaurant offers very delicious bread, we also got very tasty tuna spring rolls as an amuse-bouche. The chef even accommodated me with a beef arancini because I am allergic to seafood. For dessert I had the pecan and almond cheesecake that was mouthwatering and just melted in my mouth. My sister in law had the cheeseboard and it was surprisingly packed as we thought it would be small because of the price. What a great value for money. Lucky recommended she has a glass of wine to go with her cheeseboard, that was also a great recommendation because she needed it. The managers were professional and checked up on us during the course of the evening. Overall we had a great evening, great food and a pleasant and professional waiter. My family and I will be back in October and we would like Lucky to serve us again.

    Had a wonderful meal at the Granary Café in Cape Town. The setting is absolutely stunning, and we were lucky enough to be given the best table in the house. Our waitress, Janice, was fantastic – warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly – while manager Nigel went above and beyond to make our evening special. They both made us feel so welcome that we’re already planning to come back before we head home. Highly recommended for both the food and the outstanding service.
