The legendary Grill Room has been renowned for its fine dining and outstanding cuisine for almost 70 years.

Under the culinary leadership of the Executive Chef, the menu is an inspired combination of classic favourites, created by Bea Tollman, president and founder of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection, the restaurants Signature Dishes and contemporary creations, inspired by current global trends.

Classic Grill Room touches include the authentic Gueridon service, where food is prepared and presented at the individual diners table and the Classic 1920s Hors d Oeuvres Trolley, with an extensive range of 18 ‘old world appetizers.

With over 50 years of experience, Maitre‘d Hendry Pakiri, still presides over the elegant dining room.

    HAd a lovely dinner at the Grill Room. Food was well prepared and tasty. The service was outstanding and the staff were friendly and so welcoming. Great Experience!!

    visited The Oyster box yesterday for my fiancé’s birthday and we had a fantastic time. The stuff were friendly and made us feel really special. the food was great, the atmosphere was beautiful, everything was amazing. thank you to the team!! highly recommended

    We had the most magical night. The food was exceptional! I could have licked my plates clean! I ordered all the vegetarian options. My husband also loved his non veg. dishes. Leon the musician was for the night was incredible. The theme was Jazz, it was incredible. My husband and I celebrated our 22 year wedding anniversary and it was amazing to dance and dine. The staff are always fantastic. Thank you Oysterbox for another beautiful evening <3

    Hi there The food was rather average. There were four main meals and two starters. The Duck main was excellent. The chicken was rather bland and of below-average quality. It was priced for a foie gras stuffing, but the foie gras was no longer a part of the dish. The Cape salmon, catch of the day, was good. The lamb was fair but not above average. The calamari starter was excellent. The Lango risotto was fair but not worth it. The OBH remains an iconic hotel. The menu at the grill room was very restrictive; this could have been better planned, especially for a Father's Day dinner. However, I would give it a try to make up one's mind because the experience of the service and the overall nature of the venue are to be enjoyed.

    Loved the Prawn and asparagus starter, Carpaccio and risotto with langoustine. Superb beef Wellington, and pork. Although the sole was a little strange. Lovely desserts chocolate fondant, sorbet and a fab cheese selection . The service was wonderful and so was the beautiful setting. Not our first visit and we will definitely be returning. Thank you.
