    Extremely disappointed. Took my mum for her birthday on Saturday at your gateway branch.we ordered 2 portions of ur lamb chops....once we ordered..i was told your only got 1 portion of lamb chops of serving. I ordered ur queen prawns and your serving were very small has well......my rating of this restaurant 1/10

    Hi, we booked a table of 6 for Valentine's day.It felt as if the waiter was in a terrible hurry and although he did his duties well the execution was poor. The food was plated and the steaks and chicken were not plated to please the eye. Just a piece of meat on a plate is not what one would expect from a restaurant. There was a shortage of the cream spinach and although replaced with other sides it did not complement the mains as expected. After a mix up with the sides, the manager, Annie, did an excellent job in apologising and in true textbook style, managed to make the evening into a fun and enjoyable night. I would definitely visit again but management should take steps to address the above, especially during expected busy evenings.

    Hi. I got to the restaurant and my booking could not be found. There was no appetizers or rose petals on my table, as compared to the rest.

    Good morning I made a reservation at your restaurant for Saturday Dinner, 01 Feb 2020. It was my wedding anniversary. I had made the electronic reservation and added a request because it was my anniversary. Our day went absolutely fantastic until dinner!! Dinner was a huge disappointment, with one exception. We got to your restaurant and I stated to the attendant that I had made a reservation for 2. She took us to the corner and asked us which table would we like!! If I had made a reservation, why would I need to choose a table? She hadn’t even checked the reservation book. I had made 2 requests and this meant that nobody had even looked at this. The electronic reservation was a waste of time. An electronic reservation means that someone in your restaurant receives this and ensures that a table is reserved for the people and the staff are able to check the reservation book and take whomever straight to their table. The attendant said that she was going to check up on our reservation and get back to me. After waiting for about 6-8 mins, I decided to speak to someone else. The gentleman asked us to wait at the bar whilst he set up a table!! “Set up a table” …. Again, nobody was aware of our reservation!!! And obviously didn’t even know where to go look for this. The gentleman was kind enough to arrange an outside table and quickly put some cutlery. Our waiter was great and the food was good but I had to apologise to my wife numerous times for the start was handled. This is definitely not up to par with most fine dining restaurants. I had made 2 special requests: 1. That our table was preferably outside and if it had to be inside, not near a till point, kitchen or toilets? [and not set up at the last minute whilst we wait, extremely unprofessional ] 2. That due to my anniversary, would it have been possible to have a bouquet of red roses at the table? Had I known that the online reservation and requests were a waste of time, I would have just walked in. I did not even receive a response about my requests. If the roses could not be done, let me know so that I can make other arrangements, maybe even dropped off the roses at the restaurant. End result is, no roses, no table was allocated and it’s not like the restaurant was full. I suggest that as a “Fine Dining” restaurant, (as per google),...... you need have someone specifically allocated to attend to customer service requests and not just have an automated response going out and nobody at the restaurant even reads/ is aware of. I will unfortunately be adding my experience to “Hello Peter”, “Fine Dining in Durban” and the “Trip Advisor”. Kind regards Richard Kannigan
