    I made the reservation before our visit stating that it was a celebration of my Mom's 80th birthday and that she would need assistance with the stairs as she had mobility issues. The morning of our visit, we received a call from the restaurant stating that they have a ramp. We were overjoyed. This small attention to detail was the start of a magical experience, because truth be told, we would have probably discovered the ramp when we arrived... From the moment we set foot in The Hussar Grill Mossel Bay, we were treated like the only patrons there, which made my mom feel even more special on her birthday. Our service ambassador, Kolisi, was attentive, polite, and quick to respond to our requests. He lit the fire for us as the weather was grey and cold. The food was delicious! My mom ordered Kingklip Thermidor which she thoroughly enjoyed with a side of mash. I opted for the seasonal lunch, having pork belly bites for starter and a 200g sirloin steak with gratinated corn for mains. I would absolutely go back just for the corn because it was that good! Mom received a complimentary dessert for her birthday, along with a special card signed by the staff. This was an absolute highlight for her. We will most certainly be back.

    I selected this restaurant to have a small celebration with my family and it didn’t disappoint. We had a great time. Food cooked to perfection, drinks, desserts and ambience. Unbeatable service and personal attention. Definitely worth experiencing if you are in Mossel Bay.

    We had to go and look for the waiter every time we needed something. She did not come to the table often enough.
