Views are out across the Atlantic Ocean and the mountain peaks known as the Twelve Apostles, while high above cable cars whisk tourists to the top of Cape Towns iconic mountain. The Lawns at The Roundhouse is a relaxed all-day affair, with an array of outdoor spaces that take full advantage of this dramatic mountainside location.

    Sadly I’ve been there before so although it was Mother’s Day the food is overpriced, staff are too busy so therefore food sits on the pass for too long and dries out. Some meals were incomplete and overall wasn’t the best experience. Sadly won’t be returning as it’s not the first time it’s been disappointing. Maybe more staff, less patrons so your kitchen and waiters can handle the load. The toilets are not great and bring the whole venue down. Besides being far away from play area. It’s a mission to get there. It’s too very wet and slippery plus steps are uneven and dangerous. Sad cause it has lots of potential but missed the mark this time again.

    Had a very enjoyable day, felt it was reasonably expensive but given location and overall experience, was well worth it. A great spoil for the family, Thank you.

    Food needs some fine tuning, but lovely venue and friendly staff, and the dog friendly environment was fantastic, would recommend for a great afternoon

    Normally the food is incredible at The Lawns, on our mother's day visit we felt it was very average this time round for 2 out of the 3 meals we had.
