The Small Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily with all bookings by appointment. There is seating both inside the Manor House and on the patio beside the hotel gardens. A classic menu with refined seasonal dishes elevating the best in local produce is served alongside choice wines from the valley.

    What a treat! Monique took such great care of us - she is a gem. Chef prepared delicious food. Dee made killer cocktails. Beautiful spot, beautiful people and divine food. We will so be back.

    We were a visiting party from Somerset West with guests from Germany. The barman greeted us warmly and we sat on the lovely wrap around veranda of tis lovely victorian house with our pre-dinner drinks. The rest of our experience except for the service was appalling. The food was cold, tasteless, ill thought out - very strange pairings and extremely poorly executed. None of our plates were warm and the food most mostly dreadful. When two of our party asked for more space for the very dry looking lamb shank, they were provided with a watery chicken stock obviously quickly made by the kitchen. This restaurant will fail miserably if drastic action is not taken by management who need a chef - this was not evident on the night we visited. A most dreadful experience.

    I think they've got too few patrons to enable them to dish quality food. Extremely dry pork belly, with very few sides to get it down with. The hotel is lovely.

    The oxtail risotto was good. There was a difference in presentation and flavour between the Friday and Saturday evening. The fillet steak was good. The pork belly was a let down. The crackling was way too hard. I could not cut through it and had to send it back for the kitchen to cut. Crackling was inedible. Pork belly portion was very small. Desserts took more than half an hour to be served. The cheese cake lacked flavour and the portion is very small. The coconut ice-cream was icy, lacked flavour and creaminess. The sugar on the crème brûlée was too think and too hard. It had a burnt taste. Breakfast took more than half an hour the Sunday morning. The fresh orange juice was very good and refreshing. The items on continental breakfast was good.
