    We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary with but the service was not friendly and we didn’t feel welcome! We weren’t met with a “welcome to The View” we just got a “did you make a reservation” as if we were not welcome to be there and the server wasn’t friendly he didn’t smile at all, even when we paid our bill and were ready to leave he didn’t us friendly or thank us for being there. We just didn’t feel welcome at all. The view was beautiful but I won’t be going back there because of the absolute unfriendliness! Very disappointing!

    The food was vreat, but what a sad experience this time was at The View. Firstly, the Whatsapp, I asked if we could put up some decor, they said yes, all fine, the next day I get a message to confirm my booking, also fine, however, the day after I just receive a messag saying pay R500, and a second message with banking details. No explanation on why I am paying, what happens with the money, not even greeting me, as a customer. I had to message back and forth just to understand why I am paying money, and what happens with it. After that back and forth, I ask, can all guests order at the bar, as bills will be split, answer, yes thats fine. Get there, the waiter says, no that is not possible to do, eventually saying he can do seperate tabs for everyone. If only that was the worst part. I order a virgin tequila sunrise, telling the waiter that I am pregnant and he must please ensure that it is virgin, another lady comes to deliver the drink, I confirm with her that there is no tequila, she laughs and walks away, I thought okay, should be fine I did specify with the waiter, as I go to take a sip, the waiter grabs the drink out of my hands and say there is tequila in this. Honestly, our waiter was amazing, but you guys need to work on the way you treat customers. Also, please fix your roof in the event of rain, the wet floors and trying not to slip when you just walk to steps also ruined the evening. I loved coming to The View for events, but after this I dont even feel like refferring guests to you anymore.

    No separate area for smokers Screens were closed for the sun, then guests at the table next to us were smoking and the cigarette smoke was affecting us all, especially one person who suffers from asthma. Should there not be a designated area for smoking not affecting other visitors according to law?
