    We were both disappointed with the food. The ambiance and service was good but we really expected more from our 2 meals. The food was very plain and below standard for a restaurant in the center of CT.

    What a delightful place The Wes is - the decor is so quirky and cute and I felt like I was dining in the Grand Budapest Hotel!! The cocktails were great and the main meals - salmon and beef bourgoignon both delicious! We were disappointed they did not have the Steenberg Brut that was on the menu - the sparkling Sauvignon Blanc is a poor substitute but the Graham Beck was enjoyed! The profiteroles for dessert were also a little disappointing having ice cream in them, when one expects custard or cream - it makes them very big and cumbersome and I would have preferred the more traditional recipe. Overall though we had an excellent meal and the service was great too. I will be back!
