Sultry Night Out at The Wes Indulgence was the name of the game at The Wes in Cape Town's Little France, and boy, did they deliver! The white wine mussels were a seductive starter, the tender flesh melting in our mouths like a whispered promise. A toasted baguette on the side would've been the perfect accomplice to soak up the juices just as a suggestion. But the main event was the 600g Chateaubriand - a masterclass in seduction. The perfectly cooked fillet, the sweetness of the tomatoes, and the earthiness of the mushrooms all played second fiddle to the star of the show: the bearnaise sauce. I'm a bearnaise aficionado, and this was the real deal. It was like a velvet whisper in my ear, leaving me weak in the knees. Value for money? Absolutely. Crowd-pleaser? Without a doubt. My wife's hot chocolate was a sultry treat, rich enough to tantalize but not so rich it overwhelmed. And the hazelnut Paris Brest? A crispy, sweet finale that left us both breathless. The Wes, you've got a fan for life. We'll be back for more of your culinary seduction.

Such a beautiful restaurant! We had a 3 hour meeting here, with bar snacks and bubbly. Will definitely be back for lunch or dinner

The restaurant was pretty and Wes Anderson theme is presented nicely , however, it doesn’t not provide a notable experience. The food was good , not great the steak was very far off in terms of temperature , essentially blue after requesting medium rare. It was delicious, although this may be problematic for some people. The atmosphere is quite cold and the service is satisfactory and pleasant but for the price tag and the included 12.5% gratuity it’s not as though you feel completely satisfied or well taken care of. The drinks were also not particularly interesting or enjoyable especially when compared to something like house of machines right across the road. Overall I’m glad to have expected the Wes, but I definitely wouldn’t not rush back. 6/10 overall

The food was so bad, not worth it and it took forever. The cream in the mussel starter was barely creamy, very thin. The main course, steak...was tasteless and cold. The creme brulee was yummy though.

Absolutely lovely dining experience with a great waitress (Ruva) and fantastic food! As a fan of Wes Anderson it naturally just added to the overall experience. Quiet, cute but sophisticated. Had a great anniversary dinner! Will be back Ruva!
