Set Menu Special Valentines Day

With decor inspired by the oeuvre of Wes Anderson, this playfully sophisticated French-inspired bistro on Shortmarket Street adds an urban touch of glamour to Valentines Day. To celebrate the occasion, theyre running an intimate three-course set menu for the day. Sip on a glass of Steenberg Brut Cap Classique as you tuck into starters such as smoked trout sweet corn and buttermilk blinis, beetroot tarte tatin or steak tartare. The evening continues with mains that delight the senses – from a wild mushroom medley with layered truffle potatoes and grilled zucchini, to herb-crusted rack of lamb with ratatouille and dauphinoise potatoes. Conclude with classic creme brulee, mille-feuille strawberries and mascarpone, and chocolate mousse with a selection of toppings, all while toasting to love against a backdrop of a dramatic Grand Budapest Hotel mural.     What an amazing experience from beginning to end. We were warmly welcomed and ushered to a lovely window-side table. Everything from the wine to our choices of appetizers and entreés was perfect. We most appreciated the service we received from Ruba. She was warm, personable, knowledgeable about every wine and food selection and made our entire dining experience extra special. I would highly recommend Wes Bistro and Bar to experience exquisite French food in a warm, inviting atmosphere with the added advantage of excellent staff.

    Wow! As a filmmaker I HAD to check out The Wes! The Wes Anderson themed restaurant invites you in with pastel colours and gentle lighting! The beautiful mural on the wall had me fangirling!! My friend and I brought our own wine which was no problem, and the corkage was very reasonable. The food was so delicious and the perfect portion! We had Q as our waitress and she took such good care of us! I loved the experience and will definitely be back again! Thank you so much for having us! :)

    I visited Wes Bistro on Bree Street this past Friday, and the entire experience was truly five-star. From the warm welcome at the door to the beautiful ambience and vibrant atmosphere inside, everything was exceptional. Our waitress, Q, was an absolute standout. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had. She took such good care of us and somehow seemed to anticipate exactly what we needed before we even said a word. And the food—wow. Absolutely sublime. It’s so refreshing to go to a restaurant where not only the service and atmosphere are exceptional, but the food completely blows you away too. There was nothing lacking. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, full of flavour, and worth every cent. This was a 10/10 experience for me. I’m already hoping to be back for their Christmas Eve dinner, and I genuinely can’t wait to return. Highly, highly recommended.
