OUR STORY - The Wisemen Restaurant is a proudly South African restaurant brand that aims to offer a unique-modern Italian restaurant style. Our concept is designed in a special way that allows our restaurants to offer our dining community with a unique experience of family dining which is incorporated with a little bit of matured night life during the night with the intension to accommodate patrons who want to go out to have some fun but also don’t feel like going to a night club. Our core target market are families, couples, corporate and business group.
Our goal is to build our brand to become one of the most successful and reputable restaurants that serves from breakfast to dinner.

GET TO KNOW THE FOUNDER – Mr Scelo Ndinisa is the core-founder of the group. His love for food and customer service comes from humble begging when he started as a street vendor selling food from a mobile trailer. Few months later into the food trailer business he started pursuing a couple of franchise restaurants when he finally strike the deal with the Cappuccinos South Africa group, and opened his first shop in 2022. Few months later as a franchisee the group CEO decided to start his own restaurant brand and named it The Wisemen Restaurant & Bar. He opened the first branch in Rosebank in June 2025.

    I took my team of 7 pax for a work lunch at the Wiseman. As we walked in we were so impressed with the ambiance. Our starters were good (sushi, oysters and calamari). We then proceeded to order the mains. Two of my colleagues what they ordered were told after the order was placed that that meat was not available that they need to change their order they then changed their Orders one chose lamb and the lamb was so charred. My boss ordered a fillet and the waiter never asked her what basting she wanted he assumed it's bbq when he brought the order she returned it for pepper crusting. The new order came back and it was well done pepper crusting but she has said medium on original order. She then returned it again for the second time. When the team wanted to order the desert most of the things on the menu were not available. So we left .really disappointing first time experience not sure if I will come back

    As a place that generally caters to a lot of customers we don’t expect so much of the things that had either run out or out of stock to had been that way, service was extremely slow and waited over an hour to arrive

    I loved how welcoming and calming the vibe was, the food was everything I hoped for and my guests agree with that . I can truly say it out did it's self for me 🏆

    Here's a draft review: Had our grad lunch at The Wiseman Restaurant on Friday and it was a hit! 😊 The Team there is top-notch attentive, friendly and always checking in. Food was delicious! This was our second time there for a grad lunch and both times have been great. Definitely a spot we'll be back to again and again 🙃
