Momiji is an understated space showcasing our talented kitchen team's creativity, personalities and their passion for modern Japanese culture and cuisine. Momiji trades Saturday evenings from 6pm.

We offer a modern Sushi Omakase menu. This is a customised set menu changing according to what is sourced on the day.
An extensive wine, spirit, sake and cocktail list is available.

*Reservations are essential and can be made via Dineplan or info@tjingtjing.co.za for tables of 6 or more.
*We are unable to accommodate any dietary requirements other than pescatarian.
*Unfortunately no Vegan option available.

    Great experience though I feel that the food was not filling enough. The location of the restaurant is terrible, loads of noise from the road side and very dodgy people hanging around the outside of the area. Our waiters were okay but I do feel they need a bit of training. If you are paying this much for dinner you expect the waiters to be more professional. The waiting periods in between dishes were also too long. The restaurant it self needs more ambience, very clinical and cold atmosphere.

    Would definitely recommend the Omakase set menu at Momiji - absolutely delicious, and great value (10 courses for R599!). Lovely setting, excellent service and really amazing food.

    This is our third visit to TjingTjing Momiji, and as before it was a memorable evening. Every little morsel was tasty, and it is difficult to decide what was the best. I can highly recommend the restaurant.

    Visited Tjing Tjing Momiji recently and had some mixed feelings. The Mushroom Nigiri and Springbok Nigiri were definite standouts - flavorful and well-prepared. However, the rest of the Omakase didn't leave a lasting impression on us. Slow and felt too pretentious for what it was. As for the ambiance, the interior was quite cold due to the AC. The restaurant was largely empty, with just one other couple dining, which unfortunately added to the chilly atmosphere. Sitting in a spacious yet empty setting with a rather unhurried Omakase made the overall experience feel a bit off. I hope they can warm things up a bit next time!
