The Van Ryn’s Brandy Distillery lies in the heart of the Stellenbosch Valley on the banks of the Eerste River. The legendary brandy-making history dates to 1845 when Jan van Ryn arrived at the Cape. The Van Ryn Wine and Spirit company was established and with it a proud tradition of brandy excellence that remains un- paralleled in South Africa. The founder’s belief that the secret to creating a truly greatly brandy lies in its maturation, still is the cornerstone of the Van Ryn’s brandy-making tradition. The Van Ryn’s distillery boasts an impressive variety of copper potstills-one of which dates to more than 200 years. It is a living testament to the age-old art of crafting fine brandy and South African brandy culture.
Visit the Van Ryn’s Brandy Distillery, outside Stellenbosch and experience the essence of brandy-making. Join one of our Distillery tours and sample the multi-award-winning products in our tasting room. We host meetings of up to 30 guests in our two meeting venues and conference packages are customized according to your requirements.

    We booked for a cellar tour which was unfortunately cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances in the cellar. However the welcome by the staff, the brandy tasting/pairing and the product knowledge of the staff made up for the initial dissappointment. We had a relaxing outstanding experience and can recommend it to any non-brandy drinker! Well done!

    Incredible experience! Thank you to the team at Van Ryns for a fun tasting. The venue is beautiful with loads of comfortable seating to relax and enjoy your tastings. The 20 year old Brandy is delicious
