    I just had the most incredible meal at Balmoral Hotel 🤩 The braai meal and dessert was a game-changer - flavors exploded in my mouth, and the portion was massive! 🤯 Service was good expect we waited a little longer for our food.Can't wait to come back and try more from their menu! 😋 Highly recommend!⭐️

    There was no chicken except for chicken breyani. The place was full and very busy, and our table didn’t even have proper lighting. The pasta wasn’t nice, and drinks aren’t included you have to order and pay separately. We had agreed over the phone that they would write a message on the plate with a piece of cake, but when I asked, they brought a menu and said we must order a cake at an extra charge, even though there were cakes on the buffet. And honestly, at most restaurants, this kind of thing is free. People were also frustrated about the prawns. One of the chefs even told an Indian guy that he should learn to wait after he asked for something. I heard another customer complaining and saying he was going to rate them. Also, a lot of the items they listed on the menu weren’t even available. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

    We made a booking on the 23rd if October, but it took us 15 minutes to be seated. Food was blend , no varieties. Only beef curry was served. Desserts were a disaster. Ice cream machines are nit working.. It took 30 minutes to get ICE cream. You are operating at a very low standard

    Hi, Balmoral, so I visited this past Friday for the live seafood station. FOOD: The food was good for a try. The disappointing was the chef at the seafood station was overwhelmed, the prawns wasn't cooked to perfection. He also late at the station. It took long for him to prepare and serve customers. Yourl definitely need an upgrade by having two chefs on duty if yourl gonna cater for over 50 ppl on one night and make them wait. I notice some of your salads were repeated like more than 3 times on table and some were very less. Your desserts was good. Overall yourl need to work on seafood being done well and extra hands to help. VALUE: For R235 for buffer that includes prawn, Calamari & hake is not bad SERVICE: 1/10 RATING Your service was bad, very bad, your staff were too slow and not understanding and well organized. Your catererd for over 50 people but ran out of plates, people had to wait in line. Yourl ran out of cutlery and had to wait to get washed. I asked for a glass to drink water, this staff brings a shot glass not a tall one. There were no servettes placed at station, we had to ask. The buffet wasn't user friendly were things were placed conveniently. AMBIENCE: lighting was good, place was clean and tidy, no great soft music. It was too noisy and yourl were overbooked I think. The place isn't that big and not nicely spaced out. LOCATION: The location is good, very near, easy to get in and out. Parking might be difficult coz it was a Friday. MY VERDICT: My verdict on this place, it was good to try for a first time. Food was good but not great, variety was OK for that price. Though I wouldn't revisit again. This place and buffer wouldn't make me want to come again becoz of the service, live seafood wasn't prepared well and too long. Variety and salads weren't the best but ok.

    The food was terrible, I dont think your restaurant understands the meaning of a buffet, food ran out, the service was poor, staff seemed to have focused more on a wedding function rather than the customers in totality Very disappointed, a buffet for R235pp doesn't mean such poor service

    I was very disappointed with my dinner at The Balmoral Hotel restaurant. The breyani was mushy with the wrong cut of meat and hardly any meat or potatoes. The chicken curry was shredded and unappetizing, the pasta was cold, dry and topped with unmelted cheese, and the fish was processed with a thick, floury batter that tasted cheap. The roast beef was dry, charred, and mostly surrounded by onions and garnish with very little actual meat, at one point there was none left at all. The stir-fry noodle station had no staff to assist. There were no rotis or breads offered even though there was a potato curry, and no other veg options like dhal to accompany it. The trifle had no fruit or cream, although the custard was excellent. The tea and coffee station was set up right next to the desserts but apparently not part of the buffet, which was confusing and disappointing. The manager on duty was unprofessional, dismissive, and even discussed my complaint with other staff in front of guests. For R235 per person, I expected much better quality, flavour, and service. The entire menu and preparation methods need serious review.
