Delight in our elegant Stellenbosch wine of origin wines. Every bottle bears the imprint of ancient marine soils and the nearby sea, where ocean winds cool the vines and concentrate grape flavours. We call our site Stellenbosch-by-the Sea and our location, Merroir (terroir + mer/sea).

Try our estate-grown and -made wines in the historic Wine Lounge. Or outdoors amidst glorious views of the mountains, vineyards, indigenous gardens and surrounding complex of finely restored classic 18th century Cape Dutch buildings.

You might spot our poultry, cattle and sheep at work. They fertilize the soils and keep the pests at bay. Farming regeneratively brings life and health to the soils and vines. Naturally.

    The food on the charcuterie platter looked amazing, but the portions were minute. Barely enough to taste alongside the various wines. At R400 each, I felt that the experience could only have been aimed at Euro, GBP and USD bank account holders - definitely not the same quantity of food as other wine establishments’ charcuterie or cheese platters. Pretty disappointed.

    Service was incredible, wines incredible. Currently a fair bit of construction so a bit noisy but you can tell its going to be amazing when they're finished!

    Incredible wine tasting experience. Staff went above and beyond to make the experience feel unique, and the platter was delicious. Looking forward to the upgraded restaurant and tasting lounge. Will definitely be back.

    We had an amazing time tasting at Vergenoegd with George! He gave us a tour of the Homestead and had all sorts of fun facts to share. We then were seated in front of the fire and lead through an amazing tasting. George was very passionate and knowledgeable and really did a fabulous job. We would recommend this experience to anyone. The wine was amazing and we hope to be able to visit again one day!
