Situated in the heart of Sea Point with an unobstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean, this restaurant offers a quiet escape from the hustle of the busy Sea Point Main Road. With a specialised menu designed for each meal of the day – breakfast, lunch and dinner, Zest isn’t a one-time visit kind of place; rather, it’s somewhere you’ll come back to time and again until it feels like home.

The wood-fired grill at Zest is the highlight of the kitchen. Chef Pavel believes that fresh is best and less is more. He believes that ingredient sourcing is most important, offering the best quality.

    This was the latest of my many visits to Zest and perhaps the finest fillet steak I have had there - a perfectly cooked superb piece of meat, with the excellent charred sweet potato starter and a very generous portion of broccoli as accompaniments. The service, from John, Mark and Elizabeth was up to the usual top-class standard. Still my favourite Sea Point restaurant, although the prices have increased a little lately (no surprise there, given the increased costs of running a restaurant!).

    I eat out a lot and Zest is very high on my list of favourites. What sets it apart from all the others, however, is the incredibly high level of good service. From the greeting at the door to the goodbye and thank you at the same door, I find each and every transaction faultless. Well worth a return visit again and again and again!
