Food portions are rather small. eg. filling on the single Dorito chip & single cucumber are minimal & cannot be tasted. Its a great tasty variety but portions need to be bigger to achieve value for money. Entertainment, service & friendliness of staff was great. A family friendly atmosphere. Loved you dancing with our guests.

My clients, a Ugandan couple celebrating a special occasion, recently visited SPYCED, and overall they had a lovely experience that they truly appreciated. Although there was a small miscommunication with the reservation name and timing upon arrival, the team at SPYCED handled the situation with professionalism and genuine care. My clients were offered a beautiful table with a view of the stage and dance floor, and the staff—including the manager on shift—engaged with them throughout their stay to ensure they felt welcomed. They mentioned how thoughtful it was to receive Amarula shots and a scented candle as gestures of goodwill. These touches reflected the restaurant’s commitment to hospitality and to making things right when challenges arise. They also spoke highly of the ambiance—warm, vibrant, and perfect for a celebration. The décor and atmosphere stood out to them, and even though they arrived slightly later than the ideal time for the full entertainment experience, they still enjoyed their evening. My clients complimented the food as flavorful and well-presented, and appreciated the attentiveness of the staff despite the busy evening. The professionalism shown throughout reassured them, and they left feeling that SPYCED is a place dedicated to providing memorable experiences. Based on their feedback and the way the team handled everything, I am confident in recommending SPYCED to more of my clients in the future. We look forward to continued collaboration and more wonderful experiences ahead.

We hosted a corporate event at Spyced, and we were thoroughly impressed. With over 200 guests in attendance, the staff was attentive and ensured that everyone received excellent service. The flavors of the food were outstanding—kudos to the chef! It was a wonderful evening that our guests will not soon forget. The events manager, Louise, was exceptional; she handled our event and last-minute requests with grace and professionalism.

A fantastic evening. One observation would be to make the jazz music a little more African. At times it was too European.

I saw a lot of people enjoying their food and drinks but for us it wasn't really good. The food was not warm and on a lot of dishes you could only taste the spices and not really the ingredients. The meat was also very dry. The music was so loud that we couldn't talk to each other. That made it for us a less experience.

Lovely fun experience. We did the dinner and drumming and enjoyed it. The reason for 4 stars is that I didn't receive one course that was the beef and polenta for the meat eaters. I thought it was just coming a bit late but the waitress then took our plates away and served dessert. So I feel for the dearer price than most other restaurants in Cape Town that we should get all the courses paid for. Other than that it was a nice experience, although the dearest meal we have had since coming to Cape Town by far.
