We booked the drumming experience followed by the tasting menu. All the staff we met were delightful, the drumming was great fun, and the live jazz quartet throughout the meal provided a not too loud backdrop to the food. The courses of food were well balanced and a nice variation of flavours. Most tables were groups we were a couple on vacation, the group tables were having a lot of fun and were quite noisy, but that was how the evening was meant to be and it added to our enjoyment. Don’t go if you want a quiet meal! We dropped a star simply because it is an expensive evening, if you just want food go somewhere else, if you want some fun served with your food go here.

The food was really slow in coming out. We ordered drinks and then waited over 10 Minutes for them to be delivered- we could see they had been prepared but weren’t delivered to us. We watched as the table next to us got served immediately as they had complained about something. Overall it wasn’t the experience we had been expecting. We also asked for water 3 times and never received it. It’s a shame as the concept is good.

Our best evening in Cape Town. If you want a 13 corse taster menu of South African cuisine in a themed environment then this is the place to go. The food, service and ambiance is fantastic and in addition you may be entertained by traditional African Drummers or/and good quality jazz artists.

Delicious food with vibrant Cape-Malay flavors! We really enjoyed the unique taste combinations. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, though the live band was a bit too loud for our preference. The food arrived very quickly (a little too soon, we already got desserts while we were still finishing the main courses) and unfortunately, we had to wait quite a while for our drinks. What we really enjoyed was the mini “spice master class” at the end, we could take our own spices at home! Overall a great experience and worth a visit!

What an incredible experience we had at SPYCED. Louise and the events team were excellent with their service and accommodating all our requests. We loved Justin and his team and how they engaged with our audience in the cooking class. Siphokazi and Siya were incredible serving and hosting our guests. Thank you making our experience so amazing!
