Top 20 most favourited restaurants on the Dineplan app in 2025

by | 28 November 2025

Each year, diners across South Africa add their go-to spots to their favourites list on the Dineplan App. In 2024, the list featured fine dining, steakhouses, and restaurants with unbeatable views. This year, those favourites remain – but they’re joined by family-style dining, laid-back spots, and smaller eateries making their mark.

The Top 20:

  1. FYN Restaurant (Cape Town City Centre, Cape Town)
  2. Chefs Warehouse at Tintswalo Atlantic (Chapman’s Peak, Cape Town)
  3. The Nines (Sea Point, Cape Town)
  4. Upper Union Restaurant (Gardens, Cape Town)
  5. La Petite Colombe Leeu Estate (Franschhoek, Western Cape)
  6. COY (V&A Waterfront, Cape Town)
  7. The Bungalow (Clifton, Cape Town)
  8. Salsify at The Roundhouse (Camps Bay, Cape Town)
  9. The Fat Butcher (Stellenbosch, Western Cape)
  10. Belly of the Beast (Cape Town City Centre, Cape Town)
  11. Chefs Warehouse at Beau Constantia (Constantia, Cape Town)
  12. Marble Johannesburg (Rosebank, Johannesburg)
  13. Marble Cape Town (V&A Waterfront, Cape Town)
  14. La Colombe Constantia (Constantia, Cape Town)
  15. Pier (V&A Waterfront, Cape Town)
  16. Ouzeri (Cape Town City Centre, Cape Town)
  17. The Codfather Camps Bay (Camps Bay, Cape Town)
  18. Reuben’s Franschhoek (Franschhoek, Western Cape)
  19. Good to Gather (Stellenbosch, Western Cape)
  20. TANG Nelson Mandela Square (Sandton, Johannesburg)

While the Western Cape dominates the list, Marble and TANG bring it home for Gauteng. We’re excited to see what next year’s list brings, but for now it’s over to you – you know what to do!

Hi Jodi, Bellagio in both Cape Town and Johannesburg is fantastic! This list is based on Dineplan user favourites on the app, so make sure to heart your favourites for a chance to see them on the list at the end of the year.
