Marble Cape Town has just announced something special! Kicking off on 8 June, Marble and Kfm 94.5 have teamed up for Seven Colour Sunday – a nod to the quintessential, end-of-the-week family lunch.
Named after the different colours on your plate, the idea is simple – think comforting dishes served with a creative twist in the heart of the Mother City, and soundtracked by Cape Town’s favourite radio station.
Music and food are two of the greatest pleasures in life, and that makes this collaboration a natural fit. – Hennie Myburgh, Station Manager

What to expect
Hosted at Marble in the busy V&A Waterfront, Seven Colour Sunday is all about taking a beloved tradition and giving it a stylish upgrade – from the themed outfits to the changing menu and of course, the music.
We’re elevating our country’s favourite foods and taking Sunday lunch to new levels. – Chef David Higgs
Each Sunday comes with its own colour theme, adding to the experience – ruby, tangerine, honey, sage, azure, and violet – you’re encouraged to dress the part.
The menu is plated for sharing and built around rich mains with those all-important colourful sides. At R750 per adult and R195 for kids (excluding drinks and gratuity), it’s the perfect way to spend a wintery afternoon with your nearest and dearest.
Let’s talk food
To set the tone, guests are welcomed with drinks and Marble’s famous focaccia, served with hummus, roasted pumpkin, and butter. Starters are shared at the table – options include flatbread topped with shrimp cucumber salad, chives and avo, or a panko-fried avocado with tomato pickle and eggplant for the vegetarians.
The mains are true comfort food, USDA Washington brisket with pickles and Yorkshire pudding, or spinach and feta phyllo twists drizzled with honeyed olive oil and lemon. And for the sides – roasted potatoes with rosemary dusting, broccolini with chilli crunch, cauliflower with Amboselli cheese croutons, and a medley of roast veg.
For dessert choose between their legendary local cheese board curated by Karen Dudley or a spread of indulgent sweets, with a classic ice cream for the younger guests at the table.
Lazy lunch with family and friends
If you love a long lunch, this is just the event for you. It’s a celebration of food, family, and the uniquely South African love for a proper gathering. With the addition of live music from Kfm 94.5 and a menu that changes with each theme, it’s more than just a casual lunch – it’s a full experience. So, grab your friends, dress to the theme, and get ready for a proudly South African lunch.
